Not sure if it'd be better to future proof a bit with the FLEX and have four tuners or just go for the transcoding capability in the EXTEND. I live near Atlanta, and there are some stations broadcasting in ATSC 3.0 don't know if they're actually 4k though. My Plex server is a Intel NUC8i5 and my network is all gigabit, each room wired with CAT6.
I'm assuming that the FLEX does not have transcoding capability since it isn't mentioned anywhere. Where does Plex save recorded shows? On same drive as the install or can you choose another location? I also have a Synology NAS that I would rather use for storage if possible. Is it possible to use that external drive as DVR storage with Plex?
